Holiday Cheer with Basic Invites

For the last 7 years, I have been sending our Annual Christmas Card to our family, friends, clients and colleagues. I get so much JOY from choosing a new card design and photo each holiday season. This year will be our Son’s 1st Christmas and I cant’ wait to send out our first holiday card as a family of FOUR! I literally feels like yesterday I was pregnant with him and getting ready for the holidays, unsure if he was going to surprise us with an early delivery!

Basic Invite makes designing, ordering and sending your holiday cards so easy! To begin with, Basic Invite allows you to customize the entire design process, from the color & style of font, envelopes and image location. They offer unlimited colors, custom sample and over 40 types of envelopes.

This year was my 1st year using Basic Invite to design & send my holiday cards.  I’m so happy I made the switch. Basic Invite made collecting new addresses so easy via a customized link I could simply text or email my friends and family. Now, all my addresses are stored on my account. Basic Invite also offers address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders!

This year we took holiday photos with Carly Landolt Photography at Longwood Gardens. We had so many favorite shots we decided to do a collage layout on the back of our holiday card. We also choose the white envelope with a gold liner to match the foil on our card. Our holiday cards came turned out so elegant and beautiful!  We’ve already received so many compliments!

Happy Holidays, and thank you Basic Invite for allowing us to send some holiday cheer this season with your stationary!

Another holiday tip: save each year’s holiday card and put them into a 5×7 photo album. You can pack it away with your holiday decor and add to it every year!

Happy Fourth!

We had the best week at the shore celebrating the Fourth of July + my Brother’s 30th birthday! Since my Brother lives in NC it’s not often all the cousins get a chance to play together. From a boardwalk surrey ride, fireworks on the beach, endless beach days, playground visits + kite flying….the kids endlessly played all week long!

What are your traditions for the 4th? BBQ? Party? Relax?

Our family did a little of everything this year! The 4th is always the official start of Summer at the Shore! Its one of my favorite weekends. It’s the first weekend everyone is at the shore with their family + friends. Since having a kid (and now pregnant), I spend most of our time here relaxing! It’s my happy place.

Ps. We also hosted our GENDER REVEAL over the weekend. More details on my next post!

Hope everyone had a happy 4th! xo

We’re Pregnant!

For this baby, we have prayed! We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our rainbow baby this winter! I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant, and this has been the hardest pregnancy so far. The last 3 months have been mentally & physically exhausting. I hope for more morning sickness (the all day kind) relief soon…and to fully enjoy this pregnancy because it’s my last.

I’m starting to get more & more excited, finally! But I’m still a little distant. It’s funny how different your pregnancy experience becomes after you experience a loss. Every ache or pain, you begin to worry & think the worst….well I do. I’m been trying to stay positive, pray, and rest. At every doctor appointment, I feel so blessed to see our baby growing and hear it’s heartbeat. I look forward to the next milestones, where I can start to feel the baby kick. And of course, I can’t wait to meet & hold our baby this winter!

XO,

Apple Picking

Happy Saturday! We spent the morning Apple picking at Styers Orchard. Kennedy had so much fun finding red apples and picking them from the trees!  We ended up with a bucket full of apples and I can’t wait to tackle some apple inspired recipes!

Our dresses are from Old Navy & sadly we didn’t get a chance to wear them all summer. I’m hoping Kennedy will fit into hers next season too. I need another opportunity for some cute matching mini me photos!   xo, S

Goodbye Summer

I can’t believe Labor Day Weekend has come & gone. This summer has seriously flown by, leaving me reminiscing of all the priceless memories we shared as a family together in Ocean City, NJ {my H A P P Y place}! One of my favorite beach weekends was shared with my Sister & her Daughter. Our father had purchased the girls matching seersucker blue dresses at our local children’s boutique, Bowfish Kids, and I’ve been dying to take photos of our girls in their matching outfits! Kennedy also just finished a mini-photoshoot with BowFish Kids which I’ll post about later on!

Here’s a few shots of the girls I took on the beach one early morning. I’m obsessed with these two beauties. Kennedy loves her baby cousin Charlie so much! Its the sweetest thing to watch them play with one another.

What do you think? My passion is Photography and I can’t wait to share more photos with you.

XO, Stephanie
