This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, a brand I truly love. All opinions here are my own.
The kids and I are so excited for Halloween this season. Why? We transformed our home for the changing fall season, thanks to our friends at Christmas Tree Shops andThat!. ….Pumpkins + Skeltons galore!
I must admit we really didn’t have much Halloween + Fall decor before this shopping challenge. I’m more of a Christmas gal myself! It’s not that I didn’t want all the cute pumpkins, I did. I just didn’t know how to decorate on a budget! Hello, Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, you’re my new BFF….
Beware, you will want to jump in your car immediately to buy everything you see below. The prices for all their decor pieces are unreal. I added pops of pumpkins around my living room, added some freight to our kitchen bar nook, updated our front door and surprised the kids with Halloween themed baskets!
The Halloween themed baskets were so much fun to put together. Plus, I’ll reuse the baskets over and over again for other holidays + events, too. Inside the basket, I added kid seasonal activities, books + more. Every piece was under $5. My favorite items were the pumpkin light, Disney paint set and pumpkin buddy! The Christmas Tree Shops offers so many kid-friendly seasonal decor pieces + toys + activities at great prices!
I hope you enjoy all our Halloween + Fall decor photos below, especially our front door transformation! Living in the city, it can be challenging to decorate our front steps. The personalized buffalo pumpkin mat and seasonal wreath make my heart so happy.

This year will be our Son’s 1st Christmas and I cant’ wait to send out our first holiday card as a family of FOUR! I literally feels like yesterday I was pregnant with him and getting ready for the holidays, unsure if he was going to surprise us with an early delivery!

This year we took holiday photos with Carly Landolt Photography at Longwood Gardens. We had so many favorite shots we decided to do a collage layout on the back of our holiday card. We also choose the white envelope with a gold liner to match the foil on our card. Our holiday cards came turned out so elegant and beautiful! We’ve already received so many compliments!
Happy Holidays, and thank you Basic Invite for allowing us to send some holiday cheer this season with your stationary!
Another holiday tip: save each year’s holiday card and put them into a 5×7 photo album. You can pack it away with your holiday decor and add to it every year!
If you knew me well, you would know I have a mini obsession with paper products….greeting cards, invitations + stationary! I love sending thank you cards, designing invitations + customizing our yearly holiday cards. I am always willing to spend a premium for the better card stock, color selections + customization. Well, I finally found a website that can do it all, at an affordable price!
Introducing, Basic Invite!
Last week, I received a few samples in the mail from Basic Invite (yes, you can actually order customized samples). I was super impressed with how fast my order was mailed, how it was packaged + its high quality. I even got a personalized email inquiring about my order + its delivery status….talk about great customer service! I ordered a few different thank you card styles, a birth announcement + a stationary card.
Below are some of the designs I choose…
….Aren’t they perfect? I’m really excited about how cute + personalized the thank you cards from my son + daughter came out! Over the past month, we have been blessed with tons of extra help around the house and received many gifts as we welcomed our son. The personalized thank you card from my daughter is the perfect way to thank our family + friends who stopped over with “Big Sister” gifts + spent their time playing with my daughter (and to help this mama balance life at home with two kids). The transition from only child to Big Sister is sometimes a challenge! And since raising a child takes a village, I have a lot of thank you cards to start writing!I plan to have my daughter help me write her thank you cards, since its never too early to teach the virtue of gratitude.
In addition to Basic Invite thank you card styles, they offer endless about of stationary, wedding invitations, birth announcements + more!

I’ve been dreaming of doing a Mommy & Me photo-shoot with flower crowns ever since my daughter was born. There’s something a little magical and pure about a mother & her young daughter wearing delicate flowers crowns. Mason & Harlow made our beautiful matching crowns which we recently featured in our family photo-shoot with Carly Landolt Photography. I will forever cherish these photos of us. Its been just the two of us for 3.5 years, and as a mother, I am just nervous for all the changes a new baby will bring. Lately, there have been moments daily where I just embrace the hugs + giggles between us girls. I know we won’t have this unlimited time together for long. And, there’s nothing better in the world than feeling a child’s unconditional love for you. For the next ten weeks, you’ll find me soaking in all the extra love from my daughter! Her heart is pure. Her laugh is contagious. My hope is that my daughter will always knows how special and loved she is…she will always be my baby.
My Dress: ASOS Maternity
Flower Crowns: Mason + Harlow
Daughter’s Dress: Bowfish Kids
How is Halloween in two weeks? October is already flying by…just like every other month this year. I’m so happy our family made time to go pick pumpkins, an annual tradition we started since our daughter has been born. This year we visited Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford, NJ. It was a fall festival weekend, which offered tons of entertainment, food + pumpkins! We spent the afternoon feeding their goats, picking pumpkins, hayride, eating ice-cream + buying more treats from their farmer’s market! It was a perfect fall afternoon! Can’t wait to decorate + carve our pumpkins when we get home!
